Dirk, Jean-Michel and I had rented a house by the sea to compose and write. Things were tense between us (it shows on the photo).
The guys, who were doing a lot of drugs and drinking, had mood swings which made it difficult to work. Nevertheless, Jean-Michel came up with the chords of ‘Don’t Cry For Louie’, Dirk put a baseline on them and I came with the melody and the lyrics almost at the same time. The picture was taken while we were shooting the video, a few months later.
