When Vaya con Dios started doing concerts, we didn’t have enough original songs so we had to do covers. Dirk suggested ‘Jezebel’ because he liked the song. I knew the French version by Edith Piaf and liked it too. The story is about this very sexy heartless temptress who makes guys fall for her. They know she is bad but they can’t resist her. It’s a story that spoke to Dirk who liked people who were living on the wild side. It spoke to me because it was about a woman who was not a victim of love nor men.
